Central Ohio Mud Bog Shootout, Trick or Trails Videos, & Much More
Videos from both the "Central Ohio Mud Bog Shootout" from Circleville, OH and High Country Off Road's "Trick or Trails" have been posted to our YouTube channel. We will be combining events on our Event DVDs to say thank you for your patience. Wirt County Fair Mud Bog and the "Tricks for Trails" trail ride will be on the same Event DVD, and the "Central Ohio Mud Bog Shootout" and Painted Rock Ohio Adventure 2010 will also be combined onto one Event DVD. The next three events to be released will be the Doddridge County Fair mud bog, Pro Truck Nationals, and Gravelrama. Thank you everyone and don't forget "The Hillbilly Proud Off Road Show" is now less than a month away from coming back to the air.
Wirt County Fair's mud bog was held on August 7, 2010 in Elizabeth, West Virginia. We had been to the fair once before in 2007 and it was definitely time we made it back. The day started with a mud pit that turned into a rough speed pit with trucks bouncing all over the place. After around 160 runs the pit was dug out and worked to make it much deeper for the over 40 deep pit runs, and we mean deep pit. Although only two guys made it through, all of the trucks provided plenty of bogging action.
Hillbilly Proud hit the road early Sunday morning to central Ohio after a long night of mud bogging at the Wirt County Fair. The "Central Ohio Mud Bog Shootout" mud race was held in Circleville, Ohio on August 8, 2010. We had a great time there and got to see a lot of trucks for the very first time. The mud bog was groomed in between classes and kept at a deep level that continuously challenged every competitor. Thanks to Steve and all the guys and girls for having us.
Hillbilly Proud made it to two out of the five days of Painted Rock Ohio Adventure 2010. The first day was located at Gasline Motorsports Park in Old Washington, Ohio. The central Ohio motorsports park is best known for its mud bogging events. Gasline had several short hill climbs that provided plenty of challenge for the rigs including their "Redneck Hill Climb" which is made out of large tires that nobody managed to conquer. The Gasline Park video is accompanied by a great song "Whoa" by The Rubber Knife Gang. We thank them for the use of their music. Day two we were at Heiney Farm in south eastern Ohio. For some reason when we go on a trail riding event we seem to bring the rain. We don't mind at all since most of our videos are of mud bogging. This day in early August was no different. Most of the footage from this day came from some of the muddy rocky hill climbs on the trails at the farm. There are many trails at Heiney Farm and it is easy to avoid the hard spots if your rig isn't set up for them. The farm is currently only open for trail riding during events. We had a blast and appreciate Painted Rock having us along for the Painted Rock Ohio Adventure 2010.
The "Trick or Trails" trail ride that was hosted by High Country Off Road on October 30, 2010 in Elizabeth, West Virginia was a great event for a great cause. Toys for Tots made over $1,600 and a box of toys for local kids from the poker run trail ride. This wasn't a rock crawling style ride. This was much more of a hit a mud hole style. We had a great time from the start at the county courthouse to the end with bowls of chili and peanut butter sandwiches. mmmmm
