GRAVELRAMA!
Gravelrama was a huge event held August 23 through August 27, 2007 outside of Cincinnati, OH in Cleves, OH. Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky(I.O.K.) Four Wheelers have held the event there for 37 years now. Enjoy this short video of Hill Climbing, Hill Drag Races, Sand Drag Races, and 4x4 Obstacle Course driving. The Hill Climb on Sunday is the obvious crowd favorite as competitors try and power their awesome machines up and over a hill of small gravel. There are more internet videos to come and Gravelrama will also be included on a DVD to be released at the end of 2007 or beginning of 2008.

Big Dogs Off Road
Crawling the Bunny Section at Big Dogs Off Road events in Gore, VA is a bit harder than it sounds. This video includes two rigs rock crawling around the Bunny Section during Big Dogs' "Spring Fling". Hillbilly Proud will be headed back to Big Dog's for their Main Event held September 14-16.
Music by Laurel Creek Ramblin' Band.

Shannon Campbell at WE ROCK!
Shannon Campbell is well known for his ability to attack rock crawling courses. Here we find Shannon with his spotter and brother Nick Campbell tearing up the final shoot out course at WE ROCK's (World Extreme Rock Crawling Championship Series) Eastern US Nationals Finale at Rausch Creek Off Road Park, PA. During the two day event competitors were challenged by twelve different obstacle courses, and for the first time the courses were half natural and half man made. Hillbilly Proud would like to thank all involved with WE ROCK and Rausch Creek for their hospitality and the incredible time they showed us. Music by Treasure Cat.

Truck Pull
Lucas Oil East Coast Truck and Tractor Pull Series pulled into Winchester, VA on June 22 and Hillbilly Proud was there to capture the action. Five classes of competitors were represented in a full evening of action that will be on our next DVD, "Mud Nation". We tried a little something different with the music for this video. Roy Brewer of Treasure Cat provides a hard beating drum soundtrack that he put down while watching the video on a screen set up in front of his drums.

MOUNTAIN FEST
Morgantown WV's Mountainfest Motorcycle Rally brings so many events to town it is ridiculous: the WV Championship Bass Tournament, multiple music venues, camping, bike builder's displays, vintage bike display and races, vendors galore, huge fireworks, stunt bikers, and I'm getting tired of writing so I give up on listing them all. Of course, it is these incredible mountains and hills and their curvy roads that are the main attraction for the steel horses. Hillbilly Proud's coverage consist of three videos of the weekend. The first is a video of both the parade downtown and the bike builder's displays at Mylan Park. When we saw the colors on Temple of Steel's "Crusader", we knew it had to venture outside for a sunset shoot that concludes the video. The second video includes the vintage bike display hosted by Waterfront Place Hotel and the Vintage Bike Grand Prix held in the Wharf District. The video is only ten minutes long, but if we had the time we would have shot each one of these beautiful pieces of shinning artwork all day. The Grand Prix was a blast. Watch these old bikes running and sounding as good as they look. Saturday night's firework display makes the entirety of the third video. The blast of sound and light went on for a good twenty four minutes. Hillbilly Proud has condensed the fireworks into a five minute display with a cool minute long slow motion section. The awesome camera angle comes from Dorsey's Knob Park. From the park's elevation you are looking across the Morgantown horizon at the fireworks instead of up into the sky. Mountainfest was once again a great success, and we hope it keeps coming back to our city year after year.

Lewis and Wirt County Fairs
The latest video update from Hillbilly Proud is of two county fair mud bogs here in the state of West Virginia. First up is the Lewis County Fair Mud Bog held August 3rd at Jackson's Mill, childhood home of Gen. Stonewall Jackson. What better place to let the mud fly. The pit at the Lewis County Fair was deep and challenging and the video of the night is great for you out there that love the bogging. Elizabeth, WV played host to The Wirt County Fair Mud Bog on August 11th. The pit at the Wirt County Fair was a deep speed pit for most of the day, but as night fell the crew went to work and made the pit a deep bogging hole. Fans of the faster runs in mud racing will love these videos, plus enjoy the bogging footage at the end to round it out. Thanks to the organizers of both fairs for recruiting our participation.

White Sulphur Springs - Soggy Bottom Mud Bog
The beautiful Greenbrier Valley in southern West Virginia held host to the Soggy Bottom Mud Bog, another in this years West Virginia Mud Racing Association Point Series. The action in White Sulphur Springs was fast and muddy as usual. The videos are separated into four for the main mud pit, one for the speed pit, and one video for the foot race and the few who dared the deep pit. Hillbilly Proud hopes you enjoy the videos and hopes you are out there getting muddy too!

Smithton Hole
Smithton Hole is a muddy, dirty paradise situated on the beautiful Youghiogheny River right off of I-70 in southwest Pennsylvania. Mudfest Weekend was held there June 29 through July 1 and we headed up the highway to attend. The footage we are releasing from the event is raw and rough. The truck pulls, ATV races, mud foot race, and Buggy races can be seen with very little editing and no soundtrack added. Every race was not recorded but the majority that were are here in one form or another. Smithton Hole welcomes all kinds of events including oval track races, mud races, demolition derbies, truck pulls, and rally cross to their family friendly facilities. Hillbilly Proud would like to thank them for their hospitality and we hope you check them out at SmithtonHole.com

Calhoun County Wood Festival Mud Races
The Calhoun County Wood Festival Mud Races held in Grantsville, WV consisted of three mud pits at three depths. A shallow pit, an eighteen inch pit, and a three foot pit were all made for the event. The variation made for a great day of fast muddy fun, and the drivers loved being able to drive through what depth they preferred. The Wood Festival races are part of the West Virginia Mud Racing Association point series.

Big Dogs Spring Fling
We returned to Gore, VA for another Big Dogs Off Road event. "Spring Fling" had more than enough rock crawling action and entertainment to fill a weekend. A lake beach for swimming, a night time bash with video shows and a bonfire, and a nasty mud bog to play in helped fill the hours off the gnarly trails with good times. The video we made for the web was mostly shot on the Bunny Trail of The Cove Campground. "Bunny" does not mean easy by any means. Thanks to the guys from Shenandoah Valley, KGB, and Clayton Manufacturing for the
rock crawling show.

Big Dogs Offroad
John Hunt presides over his Big Dogs Off Road rock crawl and trail riding events in a style only a Big Dog like himself could. Easy speaking and fun loving, John created most of the incredible off road trails at the Cove Campground in Gore, VA that get ridden hard over the weekend's Big Dogs Off Road events are held. We had a blast and hope that you enjoy our video of the action. The Icebreaker event we attended April 28 and 29 was a full weekend of night and day fun. Check Big Dogs out at BigDogsOffroad.com.
