National Cemetary
My third and last trip to the West Virginia and Grafton National Cemeteries in Pruntytown and Grafton, WV went as well as the first two. Sometimes making videos I am apt to get lost in the process. What would be a good shot here? Transition to what? How do I frame the electric lines behind the tree in the shot? All are common thoughts as I am out in the field. (Read More)

Mothers Day
Ann Jarvis of Webster and Grafton, West Virginia always said mothers should have their own day. She was such an inspirational woman that her daughter Anna saw to it that it happened only nine years after her mother's death. Hillbilly Proud's Mother's Day video traces the history of the holiday from pre Civil War Virginia to Woodrow Wilson and Congress declaration of the holiday in 1914.

New and Gauley Rivers Region.
The following video is from Fayette and Nicholas counties in West Virginia. This is one of West Virginia's best outdoor recreation areas. The pure beauty of the area combined with some of the world's best whitewater rivers make for a great time. Locations are as follows:
The New River Gorge and The New River Gorge Bridge. The New River Gorge Bridge is 876 feet high and until recently was the world's longest steel arch bridge at 3,030 feet. The night shots of the bridge, and the smaller Fayette Station bridge were taken during Bridge Day night. The New River is oddly enough, one of the world's oldest. Today it provides whitewater rafting thrills three seasons out of the year. Summersville Lake is quite an impressive lake with its high cliff walls and many acres of fresh water. The lake’s damn releases into the great Gauley River.
The video’s opening shot is of the Gauley. The Gauley River has long been recognized as one of the world’s top whitewater rivers. It is quite simply the place to be every fall.
Babcock State Park. The shots of the bench and the gristmill were taken in nearby Babcock state park. New and Gauley River's Region. Music by Good Turn.
