AN INTRODUCTION TO HILLBILLY PROUD
Hillbilly Proud, the name says a lot about our company. We are a West Virginia based company aimed at promoting mountain living and creating videos that highlight our state, history, culture, and sports. Most of our videos focus on motor sport events including mud bog competitions, sand drag racing, rock crawling competitions, trail riding, hill climbing, and more. Hillbilly Proud Productions was formed in July 2004 by Keith McCoy and is now a family-owned company dedicated to Appalachian entertainment. While most of the events we have attended over the past years have been in WV, we have also had the opportunity to travel to Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Michigan.
The Hillbilly Proud Off Road Show aired for nine seasons starting in 2009. The 13 episode seasons aired on WVFX FOX 10 out of Clarksburg, WV and reached an audience of up to 500,000 local viewers. Along with the TV show, Hillbilly Proud has produced 9 DVDs and posted thousands of videos online. On the Hillbilly Proud Youtube channel we have had millions of views. Hillbilly Proud also hosted the West Virginia Day Festival for five years in Braxton County, WV.
Hillbilly Proud does not charge promoters to film but sometimes we will ask for travel expenses to be paid depending on distance traveled. When we attend an event, upon obtaining permission to film on the location, we set up a vendors booth in exchange for the advertising and production services we provide. This allows us to remain self-sufficient in generating funds so that we can continue filming, editing, and posting hundreds of videos online for free and without taking away from an event. Each video will feature footage from the event, and vital information like the name and location but if you want times and and information on race statistics the event promoter is the source, we usually don't get that information. Additional advertising or services can be purchased on a case by case basis.
The Hillbilly Proud design and name are trademarked intellectual property. We would greatly appreciate it if you bought from us instead of unlicensed thieves. If they are not on our list of retailers, please do not support them and feel free to let us know who and where they are so we can ask them to stop.
