2020 Off Road Season Wrap Up!
THANK YOU!!! END OF SEASON WRAP UP! In June I debated whether to even continue Hillbilly Proud in 2020. Event after event was getting cancelled and I didn't know if it was worth the risk. With my Crohn's disease being so bad this year Covid could take me out. Going in debt to get the product I needed for events that may or may not happen could also be devastating if they were all cancelled. In the end I decided God would take care and if ever there was a year the local off road community needed us out there promoting it it was 2020. After a few events my mother convinced me to let her work our booth. I was reluctant as I worried about her safety. I'm so thankful for all of her help and bravery. We managed to cover 19 events this year which isn't bad at all considering. Thank you so much drivers for putting on the show and supporting us! Thank you so much promoters for fighting so hard to put on the events that allow us to work! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to watch! We really appreciate all of you!
Here are some numbers. 8 of the 19 events were in Ohio and 3 of those were Swampstock mud boggs. The most we've ever done in Ohio in one year and the most we've done at one location in a year. Thank you Swampstock mud boggs, Tri County 4 Wheelers, Vics Mud Bog, and HDMP. 5 of the 11 events we did in WV were TSMRA events. We thank them so much for helping keep WV Mud Racing alive. We covered our first couple of wheeling events in a long time. Thank you Wheeling with Warriors, WV and WV Jeep Fest for having us. We did more events in October, 6, than in May, June, and July combined, 5. That's a definite 2020 oddity. 3 out of 4 of our usually biggest events were cancelled: Challenge in the Hills, Jackson County Fair, and Havoc in the Hills #1. Ouch! Thank you Havoc in the Hills, Lincoln Co., Reedy, West Fork, Hidden Valley Mud Bog- XC & MX, Hillbilly Hollow, Tucker County Mud Bog, and Wvif Mud Bogs for having us! Much appeciated. In conclusion thank you all so much for helping us have a great but odd year and hopefully 2021 gets back to normal.
Videos from all 2020 events are now up at YouTube.com/HillbillyProud. Thank you so much for your support this year and don't forget us during the winter. We are already receiving Christmas orders! We will also be updating the website so stay tuned. Who is ready for off road race season 2021?
