Hillbilly Proud covered the Lewis County Fair Mud Bog at Jackson's Mill outside of Weston, WV on September 24, 2022. The shooting day started pretty rough as the camera, tripod, and cameraman were all failing miserably. The open class of the speed pit started the day and this is one of the worse shot videos we've put out in a while. Then a break was taken for the burnout contest. We didn't shoot much of it with the smoke always seeming to engulf us and a rock hitting the cameraman's closed eye. With the rough beginning we took a break until the drag racing started up. The shooting continued to struggle for a while but got better as the night went on. The drag racing was great and was an attempt to improve on the speed pit racing featured at most races. By the time the mud bog started late in the evening we had caught our stride. The mud bog was fast with a nice pit and plenty of awesome trucks. The action lasted until two in the morning. It was a long strange day with plenty of events to watch. We love Lewis County Fair and had a wonderful time as usual, even if we didn't do our best.
